I own a website and operate this website from China. The thing about operating a website in China is that a lot of online tools, especially tools that have to do with Google are blocked in China. Using a proxy server may or may not get you access to these tools. Many open proxies have been blocked in China, which means that if you want to unblock websites with a proxy in China, you might have to spend some time looking. Either that, or you could try using a virtual private network. VPNs, though much different from proxies, also help users in China unblock sites.
